IIBA Certifications

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) offers certifications that cover the development and maintenance of standards for the practice of business analysis. IIBA offers a multi-level, competency-based certification program that recognizes a business analysis professional's knowledge and skills. The process of achieving and maintaining certification ensures the continuous improvement and refinement of their skills. The IIBA certifications recognize skills, knowledge, and expertise for working in the business analysis profession and provide a path to gain recognition in the peer group of professionals that provide a great number of opportunities.

IIBA certifications are divided into the following categories:

CBAP: Certified Business Analysis Professional Certification

The IIBA CBAP certification is a professional credential for individuals with extensive business analysis experience. IIBA CBAP certified professionals will be able to stay relevant to rapid changes in the IT industry and competent in all aspects of business analysis. The certification is designed for business analysis professionals to certify their skills in practicing development and management requirements; analyzing, validating, eliciting, and documenting business; and completing organizational and/or operational requirements.

CCBA: Certification of Capability in Business Analysis Certification

The IIBA CCAB certification is a professional credential for business analysis practitioners who want to be recognized for their expertise and skills by earning formal recognition. The CCBA certification covers the basic skill sets required of business analyst professionals based on the industry standards and benchmarks of IIBA and others. The CCBA certification is for professionals working in the role of system analysts, business analysts, consulting, process improvement, and management.

ECBA: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis

The Entry Certificate in Business Analysis™ (ECBA™) covers foundational knowledge on how to approach business analysis according to the BABOK® Guide and it showcases that you have the core knowledge and competencies for the in–demand field of business analysis. AAC: Agile Analysis Certification

The IIBA®-AAC Agile Analysis certification recognizes the integration of Agile and business analysis. It addresses a multi-level, rolling planning model to help practitioners, teams, and organizations manage business analysis work, so they can quickly leverage learning and discover what provides the most actual value.

CBDA: Introduction to Business Data Analytics

The Certification in Business Data Analytics (IIBA®-CBDA) recognizes your ability to effectively execute analysis-related work in support of business analytics initiatives. Business data analytics is applied to perform the continuous exploration and investigation of business data. The goal is to obtain insights about a business that can lead to improved evidence-based decision-making. 

CPOA: Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis

The IIBA®-CPOA Product Ownership Analysis certification recognizes the integration of Business Analysis and Product Ownership with an Agile mindset to maximizing value. The certification in Product Ownership Analysis is useful for The Product Owner, Proxy Product Owner, and Product team practitioners.
