How to prepare for 640-816 certification exam

The Cisco test 640-816 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (ICND2) is the exam associated with the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. This exam tests a candidate’s knowledge and skills required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium size enterprise network. Before taking the 640-816 test, you should practice the following:

  4. Configure, verify, and troubleshoot VTP.
  5. Calculate VLSM IP addressing design to a network.
  6. Configure, verify, and troubleshoot OSPF, EIGRP, and RIPv2.
  7. Use PING, TRACEROUTE, and TELNET or SSH utilities to verify configuration and connectivity.
  8. Use SHOW and DEBUG commands to verify router hardware and software operation.
  9. Configure and apply access control lists based on various network filtering requirements.
  10. Configure NAT using command-line interface (CLI).
  11. Troubleshoot NAT implementation issues.
  12. Configure and verify Frame Relay on Cisco routers.
  13. Troubleshoot WAN implementation issues.
  14. Configure and very PPP connection between Cisco routers.
