A. There is no pre-requisite for the 1Z0-047 test. The 1z0-047 is a Beta test, known by the name Oracle Database SQL Expert. The production test of the same (1Z0-047) is available now. You can entirely waive your 1Z0-007 credential, which is for OCP by taking the 1z0-047 test. The Oracle database credential track is the most preferable to start a career as Oracle professional. Before taking the 1z0-047 test, you must be proficient with using SQL queries and statements.
Q. What exactly are Beta tests?
A. Beta tests are pre-production exams used by any vendor. The purpose of the test is to evaluate new test questions with the participation of a live audience. The questions in the Beta test undergo through a rigorous development and evaluation process before they are provided in the production test. Data and information gathered during beta testing of the exam are used to select the best questions for the test code. The Beta testing of any exam also helps to remove all the questions with ambiguity. The questions that are too easy or difficult are preferred to remove from the production test. Q. How can you register for the test?
A. Register yourself through the registered Prometric testing center. After getting registered for your test, you can contact the Prometric center to know the schedule (date and time) of your test. Oracle certifications can be taken only at the registered Prometric testing centers worldwide. The test date may depend on your choice (and availability of slot) in your selected test center. You may choose to register yourself online at Prometric Website.

Q. What credit it provides?
A. On successful completion of 1z0-047 test, you will gain OCP credential and will also be eligible for the next level of certification.
Q. How many questions are asked in the test?
A. There are approximately 65 questions in the test. To pass the test, you need to score at least 65% (i.e. 42 questions out of 65 questions).

Q. What is the duration of the test?
A. 120 minutes (2 hours)
Q. What is the test fee?
A. Beta tests are offered at a deeply discounted price or at times offered free of cost. However, the production test is a bit expensive as compared to the Beta test. The 1z0-047 test costs you $125 excluding of any local taxes, if applicable.

Q. What preparations should you make before taking the 1z0-047 test?
A. On the day of the test, you need to reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. When you contact the Prometric center in-charge, he will take you to a room with a computer that you will use for the exam. He will also provide you with a pen-paper/white board-marker for rough work. He will guide you on the instructions to take the exam. Once you are ready, you can ask him to start the exam.
You are not allowed to take anything with you in the test center. Not even your water bottle or any food. You need to carry two identity proofs, of which, at least one should have a photo affixed.
There will be an online tutorial after you have finished taking the test, which will ask some general questions such as rate yourself on the level of expertise. This will not make any difference in your score. Neither the time counts from the survey in your actual exam. Now, you can ask the center in-charge for the result.
The center in-charge will give a printed report of your score. The sheet will tell you whether or not you passed the test. The result sheet also contains the objectives or the areas on which you need to be more focused (diagnostic feedback). Therefore, the diagnostic feedback provides you the list of objectives on which you answered incorrectly during the test.
Any attempt of using unfair means will not be tolerated and can lead to zero score, disallowance of credential, and even prosecution by law.
Q. What is the test retake policy?
A. If you fail in the 1z0-047 test, Oracle encourages to retake the test. However, you will have to wait for 14 days before you re-appear in the test. However, a passed test can never be reattempted.
Q. What is the test retirement policy?
A. Oracle provides 90 days notice before any certification test retires. Oracle posts announcements on the Certification Web site. They also notify test candidates by email, so please be sure that you always have your most current contact information on file with Prometric.
Q. When to expect your Beta 1z0-047 test score report?
A. You can expect your Beta test score report within 10 weeks from test date.
